Seller Agreement and Fee Policy

The short version: you set the item price and fulfillment choices, RC House processes the order, and the standard seller fee is 8.5% of the item subtotal plus $0.30 with no dollar cap. The fee applies to shipping and local pickup, and there is no separate payment-processing fee.

This Seller Agreement supplements the Terms of Service. By publishing a product or service listing, you agree to both.

1. Seller eligibility

You must be at least 18, have authority to sell the item or perform the service, maintain accurate contact information, and complete the payout and verification steps RC House requires. Stripe Connect handles payout account and tax information.

2. Accurate listings

Use photos of the actual item. State the correct brand, part number, condition, quantity, included items, known problems, modifications, and relevant history. Do not hide damage, use stock photos as if they show the exact used item, or select an unrelated category to gain visibility.

Service providers must state the work included, buyer requirements, usual turnaround, delivery or local handoff method, and meaningful exclusions. Do not begin material extra work without the buyer's written approval in RC House messages.

3. Pricing and seller fee

You choose the listing price, auction settings, and whether to accept offers. RC House deducts a seller fee of 8.5% of the item subtotal plus $0.30 with no dollar cap. The same fee applies to shipped and local pickup orders. Shipping, tax, and any separately stated buyer charge are not part of the seller-fee base unless checkout expressly says otherwise.

There is no separate payment-processing fee. On a typical US card sale, roughly 3 percentage points plus fixed costs cover payment processing and payouts. RC House receives roughly the remaining 5.5 percentage points before the costs of fraud prevention, refunds, support, moderation, and operating the marketplace. Actual payment and payout costs vary by payment method, card type, and payout activity.

The fee pays for marketplace discovery, checkout, payment records, order tools, messaging, support, feedback, fraud controls, and dispute handling. Moving a connected transaction outside RC House to avoid the fee violates this Agreement.

4. Shipping

Pack the item safely, use accurate packed weight and dimensions, follow carrier and hazardous-material rules, and hand the parcel to the selected carrier within the handling period shown on the order. You are responsible for inaccuracies that cause carrier adjustments or prevent lawful shipment.

LiPo batteries must be declared and use an eligible ground service. Damaged or swollen batteries may not be shipped.

5. Local pickup

Keep the exact meeting place and time in RC House messages, use a reasonably safe location, and complete the pickup confirmation steps on the order. Local pickup has no shipping charge, but the standard seller fee still applies. Do not request cash or outside payment for an RC House order.

6. Services

For mail-in work, document the incoming item's condition and keep approvals in the order conversation. For local or on-site work, describe who travels, what the buyer supplies, and when handoff occurs. A provider must not substitute parts, exceed the approved price, or materially change scope without the buyer's written approval.

7. Payouts and holds

Seller proceeds are the item subtotal minus the seller fee, plus any postage reimbursement that the order expressly provides. Payout release normally begins 48 hours after delivery or confirmed pickup. RC House may hold a payout for an open dispute, payment reversal, incomplete verification, expired seller certification, fraud review, legal requirement, negative balance, or other risk described in the Terms.

8. Returns, refunds, and disputes

Respond promptly and provide requested records. RC House may approve no refund, a partial refund, a full refund, or a return and refund based on the evidence and the Returns and Purchase Protection Policy. Amounts properly refunded or reversed may be deducted from available payouts or a seller balance as permitted by law.

9. Taxes and high-volume seller obligations

You are responsible for reporting your income and other tax obligations. Stripe or another legally responsible payment entity may request tax information and issue an information return when required.

The INFORM Consumers Act may require RC House to collect, verify, annually certify, and disclose information for qualifying high-volume third-party sellers. RC House may suspend future sales when required information is not provided or kept current.

10. Enforcement and changes

RC House may remove a listing, limit selling, hold a payout, or suspend an account for a violation, fraud or safety risk, legal requirement, or unresolved negative balance. Material fee changes will be disclosed before they apply to future orders.
